Wine Ceremony

Have you thought of adding an extra bit of sparkle and fun to your Wedding day?

The Wine ceremony is particularly versatile because it can be easily altered to suit each couple.

A traditional ceremony involves the mixing of red and white wine. Led by the celebrant, the Bride and Groom combine the two wines in a special glass, creating a rose, which is symbolic of their own blending together within married life.

The glass is raised with a toast and they both drink- celebrating their union.

It is traditional to leave some wine in each bottle, which signifies the importance of retaining individuality within a partnership.

Any choice of drinks can be used –
I had a summer ceremony where the Bride chose Champagne and the Groom a rich Hedgerow Liqueur made from sloes, blackberries and rosehips, which was perfectly in keeping with their romantic woodland wedding.

Your wine ceremony can be linked to your history as a couple. Imagine the fun we had re-creating the Espresso Martinis that Tom and Natasha enjoyed on their first date together?

This unusual ceremony makes for some wonderful photo opportunities and is a great way of adding a touch of individuality and fun to your wedding day.
